Kevin and Amanda met in the Summer of 2005 at Dunwoody Tavern...

Kevin wanted to party at Halo that night, but Jason Baglin convinced him to hang out at the now defunct Smokey Bones by Perimeter Mall for dinner and then onto The Dunwoody Tavern. "Dunwoody Tavern??? What kind of hole in the wall bar is that?" Kevin asked. Jason replied "I'm putting on jeans and a t-shirt, and that's the kind of place it is. I don't feel like getting dressed up for Halo".

Good thing Kevin joined them....

Amanda was hanging out with her girlfriends (Amanda Dike and others) already at the Dunwoody Tavern. At one point, one of her many suitors joined her but eventually decided to go home, leaving Amanda and her friends to socialize....

Kevin and the guys reach the bar and upon walking in Kevin notices a good looking girl with her back to the door...Little did he know that girl would be his future wife.

A couple of beers and a couple of car bombs later, Jason decides that he is going to try his luck with the womenfolk. As he heads off the to the back of the bar, the rest of the guys urge Kevin to join him because "he has better luck when he's with you". Off Kevin goes to be the always ready "Wingman".

"Hi, I'm Jason and this is Kevin"..."Hi I'm Amanda (Dike) and I'm Amanda"...Funny looks...What? 2 Amanda's?...How is that possible? Ha ha ha...

Being the superb wingman that he is, Kevin distracts Amanda with the usual chit chat, "So, what do you do? Come here often? What's your sign (just kidding)"

Travelling the world though became the center of conversation for the two and after a lengthy conversation, phone numbers were exchanged and the rest as they say, is history.  :)
